AWARDS! Britains Really Liked 'The Artist'...
Silent film The Artist made some noise at the BAFTA's last night taking home  seven - yes, seven - awards, including Best Film, Best Director and Best Actor. Meryl Streep took home Best Actress glory for her portrayal of The Iron Lady. The BAFTA folk awarded Gary Oldman's intellectual spy-thriller Tinker Tailor Soldier Spy to be the Best British Film.

Michael Keaton Keen To Return For 'Beetlejuice 2'.
Seth Grahame-Smith., the writer Tim Burton tapped to pen Beetlejuice 2, has revealed to Fearnet.com that he has spoken with star Michael Keaton about reanimating the titular showy ghoul. Asked what Keaton's enthusiasm for the project was, he replied, "Huge. He's wanted to do it for twenty years and he's been telling everybody who will listen," Grahame-Smith said.  

Hollywood Seems to Think The World Needs Two New 'Dracula' Films...
Deadline is reporting that Universal are dusting off their previously cancelled project Dracula Year Zero The film previously had Avatar star Sam Worthington attached to star as a young Vlad the impaler, the original source of inspiration behind Bram Stoker's Dracula novel. Meanwhile Warner Bros is talking about reimagining the story. Now titled Harker, the film will follow Jonathan Harker - no longer Dracula's realtor, instead he's now a Scotland Yard investigator who is looking into Dracula's murders. Vulture report that Russell Crowe is in talks to star in the film.

Disney Reckons Saoirse Ronan Is The Fairest Of Them All...
Variety have the scoop that The Lovely Bones actress Saoirse Ronan is in "final talks' about taking the lead in their reimagining of the Snow White fairy tale. The film, now titled Order of Seven, transplants the action to Hong Kong, and sees Snow White, now renamed Olivia Sinclair, seeking protection with a group of seven old outlaws. They also report that Disney want to beef up the international appeal and will be casting well-known stars fro China, Russia and Japan in the roles of the seven.

Hollywood Is Remaking Hitchcock's 'Rebecca'.
Showblitz bring the news that Dreamworks and Working Title Films are working on a new adaptation of Daphne DuMaurier's psychological noir-thriller Rebecca. The book was previously adapted by Hitchcock in 1940, and went on to win Best Picture and Best Cinemtaography at the Oscars.
