Deadline have the scoop that Tony Scott, the director of 80s classic Top Gun and the 2010 action-thriller Unstoppable, is close to committing to direct Lucky Strike. The movie is described as an action movie about a lawman who teams up with a drug runner to take down a drug cartel. Vince Vaughan is rumoured to be the star of the film.

Billy Bob Thornton told The Playlist that Bad Santa 2 is on schedule and will begin shooting in the American fall. "The writer is still working on the script, he's doing his rewrite right now," Thornton said. "We saw the first draft and we just had a few little things we wanted to take away or add and he's doing that.". Thornton also revealed that the film was scheduled for a Christmas 2013 release.
