The company behind the next installment of the Blade Runner franchise has debunked yesterday's reports that Harrison Ford is in discussions to return as the replicant hunter Deckard. "It is absolutely patently false that there has been any discussion about Harrison Ford being in Blade Runner," Alcon Entertainment's Andrew Kosove told Deadline.
Machete To Kill Again In 'Machete' Sequel, 'Machete Kills'.
Deadline also bring the news that director Robert Rodriguez is gearing up to begin shooting a sequel to 2010's grindhouse action flick Machete in April. Titled Machete Kills the film is the second in a planned trilogy and will see Machete (Danny Trejo) being tasked by the U.S Government to head into Mexico and take down a billionaire arms dealer and a crazed cartel leader who plan to start a world war. Many of the original cast are returning.

Two actors from Home And Away have been cast in the lead roles of the remake of the Blue Lagoon. Brenton Thwaites, who plays Stu Henderson, and Indiana Evans, who plays Matilda Hunter, will be the marooned kids Dane and Emma who grow up on a small desert island, engage in a will-they, won't-they? relationship and occassionally race sharks through the waters of the lagoon...

The New York Daily News bring the scoop that 80s robot flick Short Circuit is being remade by Dimension Films. "Dimension has had great success with the Spy Kids family series which grossed over $500million worldwide, "Studio head Bob Weinstein said. "We are looking for Short Circuit to be our next family franchise." To that end Weinstein has hired CGI/live action journeyman Tim Hill (Alvin and the Chipmunks) to direct.

Now Norris's co-star Terry Crews has explained the younger rating to Movieweb. "It's PG-13, do you really think only men 40 and over saw the first on? The kids bought tickets to Eat, Pray Love and walked right into The Expendables," Crews said. "I get [the concern], I really do. But boobs and blood do not a good movie make.
