Awards! These Films Won Some Golden Coloured, Globe Shaped Ones...
If you missed out on hearing who won what at yesterday's Golden Globes here's a super quick rundown of the big winners. A comprehensive list of victors and nominees can be found here. Woody Allen deservedly took home Best Screenplay for Midnight In Paris, Martin Scorsese was the Best Director with Hugo. The Golden Globes award panel thought that George Clooney's The Descendants was the Best Picture, Drama, of the year and that the black and white, silent throwback The Artist was the Best Picture, Musical or Comedy.

TV's 'Sherlock Holmes' Uses Big Word To Deflect 'Trek 2' Villain Questions...
TV's Sherlock Holmes Benedict Cumberbatch used a big word to avoid answering direct questions about whether he's playing the villain in JJ Abrams upcoming Star Trek 2. On the red carpet outside the Golden Globes ceremony, MTV brought up his recent casting in Star Trek 2 saying to Cumberbatch "We know it's a villain, it's the villain, I guess..." before Cumberbatch jumped in, retorting, "I don't think we do know that, actually. That's just supposition. And that's all I'm going to say about it." Supposition... BOOM!

Studio Threatening More 'Twilight' Sequels... Books Be Damned...
The Guardian is reporting that Lionsgate chief executive Jon Feltheimer wants to keep making Twilight films despite the fact that there are no more books to adapt. When asked by the LA Times if he would like the franchise to continue beyond the upcoming and supposedly final The Twilight Saga: Breaking Dawn Part 2, Feltheimer replied, "Boy I hope so.". The Times story also quoted a "source" who said Lionsgate may use their in-house television unit to turn Twilight into a long running telly series.

Abigail Spencer All Up In Joss Whedon's Eyes...
Abigail Spencer (Cowboys And Aliens) has told Vulture that she has signed on to star in Joss Whedon's next project In Your Eyes, which will come out after the low budget Shakespeare adaptation Much Ado About Nothing Whedon filmed during downtime working on Marvel's superhero extravaganza The Avengers. You get all that? Anyway... Whedon wrote and will direct Eyes, a film which Spencer described thusly, "It's the most romantic film in the history of time. It's a supernatural romance.". Filming kicks off next month.

Tarantino's Top 11 Of 2011: He Liked 'Three Musketeers', Didn't Like 'Drive'.
Director Quentin Tarantino has listed his Top 11 of 2011, snubbing the stylistic critical darling and future cult classic Drive in favour of the popcorn munching escapism of The Three Musketeers.
Topping the list was Woody Allen's excellent Midnight In Paris, followed by Rise Of The Planet Of The Apes in second and Moneyball in third. QT did rate Drive in his 'Nice Try' category.

Today In Lionel: Astounding.

Today In Trivia: Twilight star Kristen Stewart hides her naturally green eyes with brown coloured contacts in the films so as to match eye colour with her character Bella. Totally method.

Today's Bad Movie Tagline: The tagline for Robert Pattinson's 2006 dramatic thriller The Haunted Airman: "What exists beyond the twilight will haunt him forever...". Well, that's not so bad you think, and then we point out that this film came out a whole two years before the first Twilight. Remarkable!

Happy Birthday: To Josie Davis, aka the goody goody Sarah Powell from 80s sitcom Charles In Charge, who is 39 today.
