Adam's Apples (Adams æbler)

Anders Thomas Jensen's (writer of 'Brothers', and New Zealand favourite 'After the Wedding') 2005 black comedy.

"That this wicked black comedy is written and directed by Anders Thomas Jensen, the writer of 'Brothers' should be reason enough to recommend it. That it's an often side-splittingly funny - yet also thoughtful - fable on the nature of good and evil featuring a spectacularly grumpy Neo-Nazi (Ulrich Thomsen) and an irksome priest (the brilliant Mads Mikkelsen - virtually unrecognisable after his skinhead in the Pusher films elsewhere on our program) is yet another. The plot? Adam, an ex-con, is sent to serve out his community service at the church centre run by the earnest Ivan, who sets him a task: to bake an apple pie. Sounds easy but it proves anything but."
