Singing chimpmunks Alvin, Simon and Theodore return for more high-pitched antics in their third animated/live-action movie.
On route to a gig, the Chipmunks and Chipettes get "chipwrecked" on a desert island. There they get involved in a race for buried treasure with the island's sole inhabitant... returning to star are Jason Lee (My Name Is Earl) as Dave, and David Cross (Arrested Development) as their vengeful former manager.
That I was gonna hail it as a cinematic triumph? Not since Orson Welles called "action" on the set of 'Citizen Cane' has there been such a marvel of movie magnificence... Oh come on! What did you expect? It's a film for kids. Those under six should enjoy... Me? I took a book and a penlight to read by... I still got a headache from the irritating, high-pitched squeaky songs - and there's about a song every 1.164.007 seconds... Look, ok, have a f*in star for keeping the under 6 year old's entertained for almost fourty-minutes of your two-hour running time and wake me when it's over...
great movie my brothers and sisters love fit highly recommended to see.
it was a good and entertaining movie i thought it was awsome keep them coming
I SAW ALL 3 OF THEM IT SO ANNOYING PLZ MAKE IT STOP IT ONLY APELS TO PEOPLE OVER 4-6 TITIN IS WAY BETTER DONT WASTE YOUR MONEY WORST 1 30 MINS OF MY LIFE WASTE OF TIME D O NOT WATCH I ADVISE
With its wall-to-wall pop covers, Chipwrecked isn't a kids' movie so much as a brightly animated, instantly forgettable animated feature-length advertisement for the NOW That's What I Call Music! compilation series of contemporary pop hits.
From the p.o.v. of its targeted young audiences (it’s G-rated, as opposed to those prior PG ratings) it should handily do the trick.
I fear the furry singing sensations may have finally run completely aground. If only they were truly stranded on that desert island…
No swear words here; just harmless fun.
To be fair, this franchise was never intended to appeal to anyone over six. Parents should take along their own entertainment.
