I apologise, we feel bad, but there's no trailer available. ~Ed.
I will disclaim that I had never watched a previous Bond film in full when I first saw this, but I since have and find this film the most action packed, emotional and fulfilling.
Overrated I'd say... from the reviews below, one gathers fans have thoroughly loved it. From my point of view though, the Brosnan Bond was a bit tongue in cheek and this one seems to take it self far more seriously. Too seriously, because in itself the James Bond idea is so ridiculous and has been parodied so much. I don't know, seemed a bit laughable in its seriousness.
Can't wait for the next movie.
But this one turned has converted me. I've not seen entertainment like this since the days of Indiana Jones. One of the best action and spy movies I've ever seen. Daniel Craig and NZ director Martin Cambell should be proud. It's taken them 50 years to get it right, but wow it packs a punch when they finally did!
This movie has at last reached the reality of the new 21st Century. The new Bond is truely a hero and one mean mother as well. While Sean Connery was great for his time our new Bond is updated and more realistic. I am looking forward to the rest of the Bond movies being updated as well as this movie has been.
James Bond gets a hefty whack in the testes in Casino Royale, both literally and figuratively...
Contrary to pre-release nay-sayers, Daniel Craig has done more with James Bond in one film than some previous stars have in multiple reprises. This is terrific stuff, again positioning 007 as the action franchise to beat...
Relaunches the series by doing something I wouldn't have thought possible: It turns Bond into a human being again -- a gruffly charming yet volatile chap who may be the swank king stud of the Western world, but who still has room for rage, fear, vulnerability, love...
Though the film's final break-the-bank action sequence in Venice is worth waiting for, Casino Royale's 2-hour, 24-minute running time is long enough to exhaust all but the series' biggest fans...
Craig makes Bond dangerous again in an 007 film that comes equipped with things you wouldn't normally expect of the franchise this many years on - character development, wit, depth, vulnerability, a sense of peril. Oh, and some very nice togs...
