I apologise, we feel bad, but there's no trailer available. ~Ed.
Sadly I’m not the target audience for these films therefore my grade is probably a tad harsh. I found myself wanting to leave many times throughout but decided to stick it out which in hindsight was a poor move. The reason is that kiddie films are so predicable and very few surprise or enlighten mature viewers. Also the fact that I grew up enjoying the foul-mouthed films bad boy Martin Lawrence did earlier in his career also dampen the experience. Meanwhile I’ve found co-star Raven very annoying from her Cosby days and even more so now. I don’t believe I laughed once, but cringed a lot – the whole storyline seemed somewhat stale and very very familiar. Poor performances throughout and a very bad and predictable plot makes this film a very strong favourite for worst film of the year.
Better than most Martin Lawrence movies - much as strep throat is better than malaria.
Relies on slapstick scenes that are neither essential nor especially clever.
Eyes popping and mouths agape, Martin Lawrence and Raven-Symoné mug their way through College Road Trip as if it were a silent movie -- which, come to think of it, would have been a lot less irritating.
The tagline for College Road Trip is "You Can't Get There Fast Enough." But for those who sit through this humorless and massively predictable movie, a more apt phrase would be: "You Can't Get Out of There Fast Enough."
This overplayed, underachieving laffer feels thoroughly manufactured to Disney specifications.
