A time warping, cop-mystery, thriller, action, sci-fi extravaganza. ATF agent Carlin (Washington) is called in to investigate the bombing of a New Orleans ferry boat (carrying cars & people) that killed hundreds of passengers. He finds the body of Claire (Patton) washed ashore, but an autopsy curiously calls her time of death earlier than the explosion. Carlin figures that the bomber had used her car for the bomb, and killed her before hand. Find her killer, find the bomber. Working with the FBI, headed by Val Kilmer, they scour hours of ultra modern, ultra impressive, satellite surveillance equipment - retracing Claire's last days.<br /><br />But something ain't right here, Carlin's told that the surveillance is precisely four days old and it can't be rewound of fast forward - it can only be watched in real time. Them cop skills taught Carlin to catch a liar, and he demands answers to how the contraption works. In fact it's a time travel viewer, able to look into the past. As he learns more about it, Carlin realises it's possible to time travel himself – go back to before the bombing, and save Claire.
