A sci-fi thriller set in the near future when gaming and real-life have evolved into a terrifying new hybrid. Mind-control technology has progress to the point where reclusive billionaire Ken Castle (Six Feet Under's Michael C. Hall) has developed a first-person shooter game called 'Slayers', allowing millions to act out their most savage fantasies online in front of a global audience, using real prisoners as avatars with whom they fight to the death.
Gerard Bulter plays Kable, the cult hero of the 'Slayers' world, who fights to find his way out of the ruthless nightmare.

They must have remade the British version of "Gamer" since the British one with Clive Owen didn't do to well at all. Lets hope the hope the Americans spruce it up a little.
We've been told the NZ release date for this flick is Thursday, 1st Jan 2009.
