Coming-of-age drama starring Eva Mendes as a single mum whose daughter decides to shortcut her unhappy adolescence and jump right into adulthood. Also stars Patricia Arquette and Mathew Modine.
Grace (Mendes) is so busy juggling work, bills and an affair with the married Dr. Hartford (Modine), she doesn’t have much time left for her 13-year-old, Ansiedad (newcomer Cierra Ramirez). Furious with her mum’s lack of attention and inspired by the coming-of-age stories introduced by her teacher (Arquette), Ansiedad plots a way to grow up fast.
