The new Adam Sandler comedy about five friends – Sandler, Chris Rock, Rob Schnieder, Kevin James and David Spade – who meet up later in life to honour the passing of their childhood basketball coach. With their wives – Salma Hayek, Maria Bello, Maya Rudolph – and kids in tow, they spend a holiday weekend together, celebrating the glory of their championship years and tapping into their youth.
Co-written by Sandler and directed by his go-to-man, Dennis Dugan (Happy Gilmore, Big Daddy, I Now Pronounce You Chuck & Larry).
great movie
This movie is extremely funny! A movie for most ages as well, good for a family movie.
Serious this movie was very serious, funny guys fake laughing at each others jokes and allowing everyone to have a turn to make a funny. It was awsome to see Steve Buscemi in a comedy again and thank 'Airheads' he was because he was the only one who actually made me laugh!
This movie has stacks of great comedians - I like Adam Sandler and Rob Schnider. However, this movie was a was filled with lame jokes, a poor storyline and I was stoked when it was over (I actually fast-forwarded the end because I'd had enough).
Been a longtime fan of Adam Sandler since Billy Madison. Loved this movie good funny moments classic bits that are a bit dodgy but overall worth a watch again.
A pleasant, genial, good-hearted, sometimes icky comedy that's like spending a weekend with well-meaning people you don't want to see again any time real soon.
Grown Ups elicits more groans than laughs.
Smug and lazy comedy that barely raises a chuckle.
If root canal surgery feels too childish a torment, may we direct your attention to this ghastly celebrity roast in the guise of a boisterous family comedy.
Despite the lazily self-satisfied results, his (Sandler) aging fan base likely will come along for the lackadaisical ride.
