Oscar-winning writer Diablo Cody (Juno) presents her sophomore effort with Megan Fox as a possessed, murderous cheerleader.
Jennifer is a small town high school hottie possessed by a demon. This fair beauty becomes a pale and sickly creature, taking aim at the gushing guys who never stood a chance. They take on new luster in the light of Jennifer's insatiable appetite. As the death toll rises only her best friend (Amanda Seyfried from Mamma Mia!) can stop her.
Director Karyn Kusama was lauded to the skies for 2000's Girlfight but has since done little of note. She won't get a better chance to regain her relevance than working with one of Hollywood's biggest up and comers in Cody.
i fond it funny in some parts but i found it boring asweel so i didnt really like it but it was funny
I think: WOW!!!!! FANTASTIC!!!!! & AWSOME It's the best and plus I love it that it has vampires in it and it is just like Twilight, but scary kind off.
4 stars might around half a star too much for this one.. but i think its a bit of a shame that a lot of people who might enjoy this film are staying away because of the title and Megan Fox. Its a mixed up film with some really great silly ideas. Love or hate Cody's writing its undeniable that she's got a lot of flair. It's definitely not the soft porn B fest that people seem to assume. Unless soft porn scenes typically include a curious array of woodland animals as bystanders. When the dialogue is great its really great.. but about 40% probably could have been replaced with less crafted speak, it doesn't always feel natural. The title I think is making a point (in codys voice) "hey isn't it f**ed up how people are so freaked out by the idea of directly referencing female sexuality, even though even though the most banal advertising constantly bombards us with it?" - and the low box office takes would seem to prove that point well! ps - co star Amanda Seyfried kicks Fox's ass in the hottie stakes, despite the best efforts to make her otherwise!

This movie tried to be too many things in my opinion. Diablo Cody tries to get in lots of quirky dialogue but a lot of it feels forced instead of actually what the kids might say. It's not a horror movie either, so tries only for a couple of scenes to get a response. Then moves on to the next attempt at picking a genre for the movie. The movie needed to pick one thing and do it well... End of the day though, people will watch it for Megan Fox.
It's not art, it's not “Juno,” it's not “Girlfight,” for that matter, but as a movie about a flesh-eating cheerleader, it's better than it has to be.
A campy pastiche of horror and high-school movie cliches, the film only rises above standard-issue scare fare by dint of Cody's sneaky sense of humor.
Diablo Cody's glib teen-hip dialogue mostly feels like self-conscious splatter over a sorely lackluster scare flick.
The movie deserves -- and is likely to win -- a devoted cult following, despite its flaws.
Not a bad idea, but it's let down by an odd mix of humour and horror that fails to entertain.
