In writer-director Cameron Crowe's romantic-drama, Maguire (Tom Cruise) is a high-powered sports agent, enchanted by a young mother (Renee Zellweger) and overseeing the career comeback of his struggling football player client Ron Tidwell (Cuba Gooding Jr. in his Oscar-winning role).
Also notable for being quotable. From "Show me the money!" and "Who's coming with me?", through to "You complete me" and "You had me at 'hello'".
I apologise, we feel bad, but there's no trailer available. ~Ed.
There are a couple of moments in Jerry Maguire when you want to hug yourself with delight. Both of those moments involve the actress Renee Zellweger, whose lovability is one of the key elements in a movie that starts out looking cynical and quickly becomes a heartwarmer.
Jerry Maguire is that rare beast; a movie that reminds you why you like movies in the first place. Be nice to yourself. Go see.
A wholly unexpected film, as heady and surprising in its humor as in its emotional texture.
Jerry Maguire is loaded with them: bright, funny, tender encounters between characters who seem so winningly warm and real
"Cruise In Hilarious Feel-Good Movie Shock!!" No speeding jets or helicopters exploding in the Channel Tunnel - just gallons of four-star comedy and romance from Singles writer/director Cameron Crowe. Tom and Jerry make a great double act.
