I apologise, we feel bad, but there's no trailer available. ~Ed.
Like Shyamalan's recent Village & the alien one which I forget the name (with Mel Gibson)... Lady In The Water sinks further into self-indulgence. Whilst having the odd scare and some nice scenes, the overall impact is weak and unbelievable. Sappy.
This movie is FRICKIN AWESOME. Wheres my white hatchback!?
Quite wet in places but interesting in a placid sort of way. Not many ripples on the water but didnt drown in complicated plot. A movie to see when you feel like something kind of mellow.
Another incredible and touching movie from M. Night Shyamalan. The story is in constant danger of becoming silly and cheesy, but fortunately it manages to stay compelling thoughout. This is what the magic of watching a movie should feel like.
its interesting, different than other movies made...to like this movie you have to be a SF lover or else you wont like it.
The film is a rogue hunk of hooey...
Shyamalan does project genuine menace and suspense into this mundane location, especially in nighttime scenes. But the magic that would transport you from reality into fantasy is missing...
An unconvincing myth that lacks the Shyamalan magic...
Has the strengths and weaknesses of a one-man show... That a movie so riddled with relentless plot explanation can work as well as this one does comes as a revelation...
Utterly lacking in the thrills and chills that Shyamalan made his name with, this feeble fable may prove to be his Waterloo, or should that be his Waterworld? Whatever you do this weekend: Don't go into the water...
