An adventure-comedy written by and starring Jackie Chan, set during the Warring States Period of China.
Qin forces blast away a 200-strong Liang army. When the dust settles, only two survive: an old Liang foot soldier (Chan) and a young Qin general (Wang Leehom). The soldier takes the general hostage and heads back to his homeland where he can collect a plot of land as reward for his captive. Along the way, the squabbling pair are begrudgingly forced to fight side by side as they become hotly pursued by a Prince (Steven Yoo) and his heavies, an assortment of opportunistic peasants, marauding nomads and wild animals.
I apologise, we feel bad, but there's no trailer available. ~Ed.
Having seen the film, on 14th Feb 2010, I give it an A+. The whole Jackie Chan-Wang Leehom team up is worth the laughs, the tickets, the entertainment and of course, worth watching from start to end. Lastly, I would highly recommend this movie to any Jackie Chan or Wang Leehom fan in New Zealand
Although there is a fair bit of action, this is not a martial arts film. It is a buddy road movie that happens to include a bit of martial arts. Chan still kicks ass, but if you’re expecting to see him as the Drunken Master, you’ll be sorely disappointed.
