Jersey girl Stephanie (Heigl) is newly divorced and desperate for money, so she approaches her sleazy cousin (Patrick Fischler, Mulholland Dr.) for a job at his bail bonding company. Her first assignment as a "recovery agent" is former college flame, and now murder suspect, Joe Morelli (Jason O'Mara, Life on Mars). Stephanie learns the ropes and hunts her man, with the help of expert bounty hunter Ranger (Daniel Sunjata, The Devil Wears Prada). But, complications arise when her family meddles, witnesses turn up dead, and she discovers that the sparks still fly when she confronts Morelli himself.
