Science-fiction horror about two astronauts on a massive spaceship 500 million miles from Earth, who awaken in a hyper-sleep chamber to find their 60,000 fellow passengers have vanished. It's pitch black, they are disoriented, and the only sound is a low rumble and creak from the belly of the ship. They can't remember anything: Who are they? What is their mission? With Lt Payton (Dennis Quaid) staying behind to guide him via radio transmitter, Bower (Ben Foster) ventures deep into the ship and begins to uncover a terrifying reality. The spacecraft's deadly secrets begin to be revealed and the astronauts find their own survival is more important than they could ever have imagined.
One of the best Science Fiction films out for a while, they need to make more of this, I watched this film four times and still found it great. The entire film is action packed and the ending is something out of this world with added jumps and gate twisting suspense topped off with a story line that can be missed if an eye is blinked, and you don't want to do that anyway as you may miss out on one of those F... up aliens running pass
This movie isn't perfect, but is a great piece of science fiction. It looks like a load of nonsense at first, but watch it to the end. The plot does come together and all will be explained. If we ever do try to colonise the stars. This may be how it will have to done.
A Claustrophobic, yet expansive benchmark in scifi horror. An Excellent underrated movie. It failed, more because of poor marketing, than any issue of quality. Would have loved to have seen this one in theatres
Probably the best sci-fi/horror film I've seen and deserves more credit.
'Feel your way in the dark' bollocks. Lots of flashing strobes and fast cut shots of monster thingys. Poor Dennis, one more dud to his name.
