I apologise, we feel bad, but there's no trailer available. ~Ed.
this movie is a cool movie but little kids dont watch.
Okay I did not watch it but I watched the first one which was original and pretty good. II and III were rubbish, I did not bother watching IV but unless there is some sort of reincarnation, ressurection, bionic transformation or cloning I do not intend to watch V either. Also I have a problem with the actors, they are rubbish too especially that girl (ex drug addict in number I and... II and... III also maybe) that replaced her spiritual serial killer of a father. Not convincing. Especially if you compare it to "Henry portrait of a serial killer", arguably the most choking ever made in this genre. "Henry..." is not as bloody as Saw but so realistic in the execution (not just a figure of speech) it is deeply disturbing. It is almost intellectual compared with Saw. Saw is more saddistic and mindless. Also, I kind of regret Jiggsaw never admitted he was one dodgy Kiwi from Palmerston North because clearly he had at least as much Kiwi inginuity as Burt Monroe :-)
I love the Saw movies. I have watched alot of horrors, Friday 13th, Nightmare on Elm Street, Texas Chainsaw Massarce, just to name a few, but there is nothing like Saw. I think it is truly amazing how someone can imagine such torturesome devices, but as the storyline goes, they can escape from them. I will be a Saw fan forever.
Though it makes good use of a Poe-esque pendulum in the opening scene, this is a somewhat ho-hum franchise extension.
A particularly dull and discombobulated affair, shot and acted with all the flair of a basic-cable procedural. Patterson and Mandylor are so wooden that their cat-and-mouse game has all the excitement of watching dust bunnies swirl in an air current.
This year's installment is as disappointing as a Halloween bag filled with nothing but raisins.
By-the-numbers retread.
Skips back and forth in time, trying to piece together who did what, when and why. The only question really worth asking here: Who cares?
We've been told the NZ release date for this flick is Thursday, 30th Oct 2008.
