I apologise, we feel bad, but there's no trailer available. ~Ed.
The best movie i have seen for a long time, might be confusing for those that are not familiar with the game, the best game movie ever made. Its about time they got it right.
This movie is hard to understand,to understand it well you have to know the Silent Hill games to enter in the movies atmophere... Its not a movie for everyone...so the people that wanna watch this movie have to be pay attention and to understand it. They are 2 worlds in the movie:virtual(the one da lady and her dughter are)and the Real life(the world her husband and the other people are).
An amazingly cool movie, though it probably won't suit the taste of everyone. It's packed with freaky monsters, but isn't scary in terms of jump in your seat frights, there are a lot of totally cool and insane visuals to haunt you though. The first half of the movie is boring as the story lacks human conflict because the main character runs around alone with no one to talk to. But the next half more than makes up for it. I haven't played the games but, Hollywood may have finally made a good video game movie!
Some really great moments, but found too many tangents made to dramitise the film. The flow was broken and the film was hard to understand. The best part was watching the trailer.
Unfortunately, the more Avary's plot comes into focus, the less scary it gets. There's a laughably obtuse exposition sequence that rivals The Matrix Reloaded for sheer chattiness, and an uncomfortable emphasis on child abuse that feels out of place in such a fluffy film...
1/2 Although I didn't understand the story, I would have appreciated a great deal less explanation. All through the movie, characters are pausing in order to offer arcane back-stories...
A step in the right direction for console-to-screen transitions and a twisted masterpiece of set design. Ultimately, though, it's a little too much like watching someone else play the game...
From first frame to last, not a second of the film has a grip on reality. Structured around a series of blackouts and gross-outs, it's one long free fall through icky surrealism and underlighted night
In the end, Silent Hill degenerates into an overblown replay of all those "Twilight Zone" and Stephen King stories in which outsiders stumble upon a time-warped location from which there's no escape...
