True story about a teenage surfer girl (AnnaSophia Robb, Charlie & the Chocolate Factory) who summons the courage to get back in the water after losing an arm in a shark attack.
Based on the true story of Bethany Hamilton, and on her book. Also stars Helen Hunt, Dennis Quaid, Carrie Underwood and Kevin Sorbo.
Hello. And Bye.
Very much for tweens. It just fell flat for me.
I'm not a True Christian but this movie was so well made, Based on a true story made it even better ONE OF MY FAVOURITES for 2011.
What a great tale courage and determination theres no way in Hell I would take to the seas The only time I want to see a shark is With my Fish n Chips its a very good book if you ever get the chance to read it
I feel something is missing. There had to be dark nights of the soul. Times of grief and rage. The temptation of nihilism. The lure of despair. Can a 13-year-old girl lose an arm and keep right on smiling?
A true story of courage, determination and guts that deserves a more exciting approach.
As a portrait of a spirited, resilient athlete, the movie succeeds best, unafraid to face its heroine's daunting challenges directly.
The Book of Life, by a surf chick
Distinguished by splashy cinematography, engaging performances from Dennis Quaid and Helen Hunt as the girl's go-get-'em parents.
