I apologise, we feel bad, but there's no trailer available. ~Ed.
The soundtrack is fantasmagorical. Story is funny but predictable, and a bit too close for comfort at times - though I'd never admit that. Wait...
A moderatley funny story, with some good acting and nostalgia. Not bad for a todays parent seeing an off-spring heading off to Uni, to get a glimpse/reminder of what life will be like for that young one. Or nearly.
Fantastic soundtrack. Fun and sweet storyline. If you were there you'll have flashbacks to all the crap parties, dingy flats, and stereotypical groups of greenies, bohos, goths, young conservatives etc. Captures the greyness of appalling UK winter weather and stereotypes perfectly.
Great production design recreates the 1980s perfectly. Sadly, the story is rather lame and predicatable and with few jokes and no stand-out physical comedy except for a punch-up or two, it's difficult to raise a guffaw even if the whole thing is hard to dislike.
In the final stretch, Vaughan's recreation of the BBC gameshow is a treat, brimming with laughs and bittersweet whimsy...
Set to join the pantheon of beloved Brit-coms like Four Weddings and Bridget Jones’s Diary — if there’s any justice — this is a true winner, and the smartest comedy you will see this year...
If the journey is familiar, at least the company is good...
1/2 There's a boy like Brian Jackson lurking in the trailer of every girl's green youth. He's the quiet, nerdishly good-looking fellow at uni parties who passes up the beer bongs for discussions on Jung and mortality... This self-deprecating movie has a somewhat vapid plot, but contains a surprisingly sweet cream-bun centre...
This is a fairly pleasant night out, with a great soundtrack, for those whose memories of tertiary education involve lame parties, experimenting with drugs and drinking and disastrous encounters with the opposite sex. There are far worse ways to spend 93 minutes on a cold winter's night...
