Ben Stiller leads an all-star cast in this crime caper from action-comedy veteran Bret Ratner (the Rush Hour trilogy).
Stiller teams up with Eddie Murphy, Matthew Broderick and Casey Affleck as a group of blue collar guys who plan the mother of all heists, to rob the Penthouse apartment of a Wall Street swindler (Alan Alda) after losing everything in his fraudulent Ponzi scheme.
Won the film via a Fatso.co.nz contest. Just have to say I am one huge fan of the film and I highly recommend it. Some parts are a bit boring and dull though.
this movie was very funny and it was the best this year.
This was a awesome film and so funny it was nice to see Matthew Broderick again he is my favourite actor and idol he is the reason i watch movies and Ben Stiller was really funny as well hope they make a sequel.
i thought it was entertaining funny worth watching
In the end, Tower Heist isn't a black Ocean's Eleven or a bold leap forward for feature-film distribution, just a passable piece of commercial entertainment that falls closer to product than art.
The movie is broad and clumsy, and the dialogue cannot be described as witty, but a kind of grandeur creeps into the screenplay by Ted Griffin and Jeff Nathanson.
Fun if uneven stuff from Ratner. A welcome return to form for Eddie Murphy and an even-more-welcome turn by the ever-excellent Alan Alda.
A smoothly engineered crowd pleaser.
Tower Heist might not be a classic (it's not), but at least for a little while it will make you laugh instead of cry about the current state of affairs, which is more than you can say about a lot of things.
