Rebel Wilson (Bridesmaids) is a New York architect trapped in a PG rom-com in this fantasy comedy co-starring Liam Hemsworth and Priyanka Chopra.

After thwarting a mugger at a New York City subway station only to be knocked out while fleeing, Aussie transplant Natalie (Wilson) wakes up to find her life has suddenly become her worst nightmare - a romantic comedy - and she is the leading lady.

Rolling Stone

Comic tornado Rebel Wilson lifts up this meta-take on romantic comedies and makes it your best bet for a Valentine's date at the movies. Too bad about the sucker punch of a happy ending.

It's the Inception of rom-coms. Sort of.

Los Angeles Times

"Isn't It Romantic" walks the line between subversive and sendup. It gleefully makes fun of the well-known tropes of romantic comedies, while also satisfying our desire to delight in said tropes.

New York Times

"Isn't It Romantic" is designed to leave viewers feeling lightheaded and forgetful. That dizzy sensation could be love - or a mild head injury.

Hollywood Reporter

Despite all that's disappointingly familiar about Natalie's fairy tale, there's a real person at its centre.

The Guardian

Wilson is a mostly engaging lead and while she's not a natural with some of the later stage sentiment, her offhand line delivery elevates a number of throwaway jabs and she's well-suited to physical comedy.

Variety (USA)

It's way more fun rooting for Rebel than it is pretending to care whether Katherine Heigl will get the guy.

Damn, this film really goes all out to make fun of Rom-coms. It's funny, entertaining and is fully aware of its silliness. Some moments feel a bit forced in terms of landing jokes but other than that it was a great time.

Yes, it can be really dumb at times but it's self-aware so does it really matter?

Also Rebel Wilson really amps up the comedic factor in this film.
