The Jungle Bunch

Out Now On-Demand

A gang of misfit animals are on a mission to protect their jungle home in this film adaptation of the CGI-animated kids TV series.

Maurice may look like a penguin - but he's a real tiger inside! Raised by a tigress, he's the clumsiest Kung-Fu master ever. Along with his friends, The Jungle Bunch, he intends to maintain order and justice in the jungle, as his mother did before him. But when an evil koala named Igor wants to destroy the jungle once and for all, The Jungle Bunch must come to the rescue.

The pacing is fast enough to gloss over the movie's rather limited imagination. And although it's not exactly on par with the major studios, the animation work is nonetheless impressive...

The Independent (UK)

The film doesn't make much sense and the animation isn't especially sophisticated but the young kids at whom it is aimed should warm to its cheery tone while the adults might appreciate its anarchic streak and some of its off-the-wall humour.

TimeOut (London)

This feels like a dated echo of better films like 'Madagascar' and 'Kung Fu Panda'.

Total Film (UK)

Its attempt to cram in both origin story and follow-up adventure makes it a long haul for the target tinies.

Daily Telegraph (Australia)

Even for a G-rated animated adventure, The Jungle Bunch is fairly tame.

The Guardian (UK)

Loud and zappy, The Jungle Bunch trots out predictable be-kind-be-brave platitudes, but lacks anything distinctive of its own.

The Times (UK)

Busy but agreeably bonkers.
